I went to college with Aloe at USC and we found ourselves on the same bills a lot. At the time he was in a duo called Emanon (which yes, would later become an unusable rap name, thanks to Marshall Mathers) and I always loved the dude. Craziest part about him is that he was in the top 5% of students at USC. Think about that. He was in the top 5% academically of the entire university. He was in the President’s Class, which was invite only (from the University president personally) to 20 students max, where guest lecturers would come in and speak to the colleges’ brightest (like George H. Bush). The dude spent a summer studying frog behavior for cancer research. He is a genius. And he wants to make music. I used to joke with him, I want to pretend he sucks at music - just so I can help our future. I was so stoked to hear this song, since Aloe is one of the most talented musicians I ever played with, and this song shows a direction that I think will expose that fact to everyone else. Including frogs.

Mike Posner “I Don’t Trust Myself”
Supposed to be Mike’s year and I kinda hope it is because I do like a lot of the songs he’s released through mixtapes, with the one above being my favorite.
